  • With the COVID-19 outbreak, should I skip my infusions until this outbreak is over?

While it is true that some medications will weaken the immune system, this is not the case with all infusion treatments, as each one affects the immune system differently. It's also important to remember that infusion medications are prescribed on a set schedule to control the progression of certain diseases.  This means that you should discuss the risks and benefits with your Doctor, before making any decisions.

As always, it's important to continue taking your infusion treatments until your Physician tells you otherwise. At PACE Healthcare, patients and Doctors take peace-of-mind in knowing that every patient receives their treatment in a private infusion suite, without having to sit in a waiting room.

  • What is my risk of getting COVID-19 at my PACE infusion center?

At PACE Healthcare, we have years of real-world experience in caring for patients with weakened immune systems and our infection prevention plans are in accordance with the CDC and WHO, to ensure the safety of our patients. When you visit PACE, you will be assigned a private suite which directly follows the recommended social distancing guidelines. Here are a few examples of our disinfection, screening, and visitation policies:

    • Disinfecting all patient care equipment (i.e. blood pressure cuffs, infusion chairs, IV pumps) between patient use
    • Disinfection of frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, phones, check-in area pens and clipboards, faucets, etc.
    • Screening patients and staff for respiratory illnesses and potential exposure
  • Do I have to switch my doctor to receive my treatment at PACE Healthcare?

Absolutely not! With your current medical provider, once we have received your order from your current doctor’s office, we coordinate your care by quickly obtaining your pre-authorization with your insurance provider for your specific treatment.  Once you have received treatment at PACE, we then do regular 360-degree communication with your doctor’s office (e.g., sharing your infusion or injection therapy notes from our facility with your doctor’s office, etc.)  each time you visit PACE.

  • Where is your office located?

Our main office is conveniently located in Wooster Ohio. We are just minutes from nearly anywhere in Wayne County.
